Battle of Falkirk

Join the Society of William Wallace and the Society of John De Graeme on Saturday 23rd of July as they commemorate The Battle of Falkirk.

On the 22nd of July 1298 Sir William Wallace Guardian of Scotland and high protector of the Realm and his army of Scotsman stood in defiance of tyranny against King Edward I of England.

At the Battle of Falkirk event you can watch live reenactments, witness exciting street entertainment and head to the Medieval Market for some exclusive goodies.

9am – Wallace Trail Launch – Callendar Square

10am – Medieval Market – High Street

10.20am – Fight a Knight – Trinity Church

11am – Britannia XIV – Trinity Church

11am – 4pm – Wolanski Aerial Display

11.30am – Clanranald Schiltrom display – Callendar Square

12pm – Gather at Cairn Callander Park for commemoration

12pm – MacUmba – High Street

12.40pm – Full Schiltrom display with horses – Callendar Park

12.50pm – Procession leaves Cairn in Callendar park

1.20pm – Procession arrives at Trinity Church

1.40pm – Britannia XIV activity – Trinity Church

2pm – MacUmba – High Street

2.10pm – Kids participation event – Trinity Church

2.30pm – Trebuh Dannsa (dance performances) – Trinity Church

3pm – Clanranald Schiltrom demo – High Street
