The Hunt

A special Christmas themed window trail brings a festive feel good boost to Falkirk town centre. A mixture of 12 different sized Toy Soldiers are hidden in shop windows throughout the town centre to recreate the popular Nutcracker Trail with local children having named them.

Download the map here.

The Nutcrackers, based on the traditional German symbols of good luck, will provide some festive cheer in between visits to local shops and restaurants and offer families an opportunity to explore the town centre.

An entry form, and map, is available to download from this page or can be picked up from the Howgate Help Desk.  Simply follow the trail and write the name of the soldier in the space provided and post your entry form into the special Post Box located next to the Help Desk before 22nd December.  Don’t forget to add your name and phone number as 12 correct entry forms will be selected at random to win a £15 gift card to spend in the town centre, just in time for Christmas.

Shopping local has never been more important and Falkirk town centre has an incredible range of independent stores with unique gifts for all the family.  The toy soldier hunt provides families with a free Christmas activity which is both safe and accessible to enjoy.

Bonus Give-Away – Take a selfie with one of the toy soldiers on the hunt and share it on our Facebook page.  We will pick our favourite photo on the 22nd December to win a £30 town centre gift card and remember to tag the store where you found the toy soldier.
