Welcome to Falkirk: From Place to Creative Space

An exciting new arts and cultural programme designed to celebrate Falkirk’s identity, creativity and sense of place.

Delivered by Falkirk Delivers in partnership with Artlink Central, the project has secured almost £100,000 of National Lottery funding through Creative Scotland to support a programme of creative activity within Falkirk town centre. The initiative aims to strengthen the town’s cultural identity, enhance the public realm and contribute positively to the ongoing regeneration of the town centre.

Over the coming months, artists, creatives, community groups, businesses and local residents will have opportunities to become involved in shaping and delivering creative projects across Falkirk. The programme will support the development of public art, creative events and activities, and opportunities for local artists to build their skills and experience while helping to animate the town centre.

Potential locations for public art have been identified through discussions with Falkirk Council Planning, Visit Falkirk and local heritage representatives, ensuring that the town’s rich history, character and future aspirations are reflected throughout the project.

The commission briefs below outline the first opportunities available through the programme. We invite artists and creative practitioners to explore the briefs and join us in helping transform Falkirk from a place into a creative space.
