Falkirk Town Centre

Falkirk Delivers, in partnership with Falkirk Council are delighted to announce the 2022 Festive programme for Falkirk town centre and the District town centres.

Back by popular demand, an extended 5-week programme of festive activities, our ‘#FestiveFalkirk’ campaign will showcase a number of free activities for the family and we would love you to come along and enjoy the fun and pay a visit to the many local businesses across the area.
With no formal gathering for the Christmas Lights, they will illuminate the streets of Falkirk and will kick off the campaign on 19th of November.
There will be a welcome return of the hugely successful and much-loved Santa’s Post office, located next to the Steeple, with a variety of fun, creative and hands on activities for children to enjoy at the hour-long workshops.  Booking is required but walk ins will also be welcome, more information will be available on the Falkirk Delivers Website and Facebook page.  Santa will also be visiting the Howgate in his festive grotto, and there will also be a return of the giant festive snow globe.

There will be a new addition to the #FestiveFalkirk line up this year, as we welcome Mrs Claus to the town centre.  Mrs Claus Story time will take place in her sitting room, located upstairs in the newly opened Seagull Trust Bookshop and Art Gallery on the High Street.  Mrs Claus will read a festive story and sing along with the children to some of your favourite Christmas tunes and at the end of the session they will be able to choose a free book to take home.

Look out for the other street entertainment on the Saturdays leading up to Christmas. On the 19th November between 12.30 – 3.30pm, we have Jack Frost and Ice Queen on stilts, alongside ground based performers such as winter fairy with hula hoops and her crystal ball and a winter wizard with mesmerising juggling skills.

The 26th November between 10 – 3pm sees a special visit from some spectacular snow fairies along with Anna, Elsa and Olaf making an appearance. And the afternoon of 3rd December you will catch two elves around the town centre, as well as another two singing elves who will be singing some of the festive favourites!
