The shopping area of Stenhousemuir was renovated in 2008. A new library with community area, football pitch and new shops including a 40,000-square-foot (3,700-square-metre) Asda supermarket alongside relocation of a number of existing businesses. The shopping area now encompasses a local butcher, pharmacy, banks, food outlets, florists and small chain stores and there is now a Tim Horton’s.
Towards the end of 2020 Falkirk Delivers secured additional funding from Falkirk Council which allowed them to appoint additional support Falkirk’s District Town Centres; Bo’ness, Denny, Grangemouth and Stenhousemuir.
Falkirk Delivers are a not-for-profit company working in conjunction with Falkirk Council to maintain and preserve the district town centres by running a number of initiatives including environmental and floral enhancements, digital advice and advancements and a dedicated handyman in each of the district town centres.
