Denny is a former centre of heavy industry with several coal mines, paper mills, iron foundries and brickworks. It is located near the main motorway arteries to Edinburgh and Glasgow, as well as the Little Denny and Drumbowie Reservoirs.
Denny Town Centre’s has undergone a £7.8m development of 10 shop units, a community library and improved car park. It has a number of new and existing businesses trading from these new bespoke units.
Towards the end of 2020 Falkirk Delivers secured additional funding from Falkirk Council which allowed them to appoint additional support Falkirk’s District Town Centres; Bo’ness, Denny, Grangemouth and Stenhousemuir.
Falkirk Delivers are a not-for-profit company working in conjunction with Falkirk Council to maintain and preserve the district town centres by running a number of initiatives including environmental and floral enhancements, digital advice and advancements and a dedicated handyman in each of the district town centres.
