From Saturday 17th November Visit Santa in His Grotto at Howgate Shopping Centre

Santa’s grotto opens on Saturday 17th November in the Howgate Shopping Centre; Santa will meet the children, and provide a small gift.  There is also the opportunity to have a photograph taken with Santa.  For full details on opening hours see

The Kids Club on Saturday 1st December will be ‘Elf School, free event from 12pm – 3pm.

The Howgate will also host a ‘Magical Christmas Market’ on Sat 17th & Sun 18th Nov and Saturday 22nd & Sunday 23rd Dec which will feature traders from their Witchcraft and Wizardy day. They also have an Ochil Crafts market on Fri 23rd & Sat 24th Nov and Fri 7th & Sat 8th Dec.

Sunday 18th November – Falkirk Festive Lights Switch On 2.30pm-5pm, The Steeple, High Street Falkirk

Christmas events kick off with Falkirk’s light switch on event on Sunday 18th November. We are joined by The Big Band Theory, The Choir Factory, family favourites Big Bad Wolf and a performance from the winner of the ‘Star at the Steeple’ Competition.  Crowd walkabouts from Santa and his elves, will entertain the crowds before an outstanding performance from Barbara Bryceland.

Thursday 29th November -Glebe Street Annual Christmas Charity Evening 6-830pm

The annual Christmas street shopping charity event where visitors will be able to browse “Glebe Street Shops” at their leisure. Prosecco and nibbles, raffles and prize draws, live choir, street DJ and other entertainment. This event is delighted to support Strathcarron Hospice by donating all raffle proceeds. There’s lots going on some come and get involved.

Saturday 1st December- Small Business Saturday

Falkirk celebrates all that our unique, independent businesses bring to our town centre. Come along and enjoy all the Christmas offerings these businesses have.

Saturday 1st December- Callendar Square Musical Christmas Extravaganza

Callendar Squares are welcoming shoppers into the East End with their Festive celebrations. Musical performances will be taking place throughout the day, with open mic sessions for budding new talent.

Sunday 2nd December – Accessible Shopping Day

The town’s annual Christmas shopping Sunday promotes accessibility for all. Central Shopmobility in Callendar Square will open to provide mobility equipment if requested. Refreshments are available via vouchers for The Allotment Café and Costa Coffee in the Howgate Centre and Corrine’s Cabin at Callendar Square. Friday 7th December- Festive Producers’ & Crafters’ Market

The Festive Producers and Crafters Market in the Steeple area has our regular producers appearing alongside some new specialist stall holders with their festive offerings.

Saturday 8th December- Santa and his Reindeer Parade

This popular event begins at the East End at 2pm with Santa and his reindeer parading up the High Street accompanied by Alloa Bowmar Pipe Band. The parade will return to the East End where the reindeer will be penned until 4pm. Santa will be on hand throughout to accept letters and check his naughty and nice lists.
