Town Centre Events

Following on from the success of our initial Food Festival, we have a Summer of events planned for Falkirk Town Centre.

July 20th is the second town centre celebration of the 1298 Battle Of Falkirk. This event is a partnership event with The John de Graeme Society, Falkirk Delivers, Falkirk Trinity Church and Howgate Shopping Centre and sees a host of fun and entertainment for all the family. The town centre will see a medieval Market, Battle Re-enactments, a chance to “Fight the Knight” Scottish Tribal Music from the fabulous Clan Na Drumma, and exhibition of props from the recent Netflix movie “The Outlaw King”, facepainting and more from 11am – 4pm.

Falkirk Delivers PolicingAugust 14th is the town centre’s Emergency Services Day. A chance for members of the public to get up close and personal with the people, vehicles and tools our fantastic blue light and supporting services use. This event is always popular and, weather permitting, will be a busy day in the town centre.

August 17th will be The Rotary Club of Falkirk’s Charities Day where Falkirk Delivers will erect some 30+ stalls along the High Street and invite local charities to fundraise, inform and sell, whilst having a bit of fun. This event will run between 11am and 4pm.

August 31st see’s the towns second Sci-Fi Invasion. The Howgate Centre organised this event last year, supported by Falkirk Delivers to bring in out in to the town centre and it was a fabulous success. We are happy to support the event this year which will again be raising funds for CHAS. Children’s Hospices Across Scotland.

These events help create a vibrant and energised town centre however, in order to have positive commercial impacts for you, our town centre businesses, we need you to get involved. Please share details of these events, run your own promotions around them and get in touch if there’s any further assistance we can give to allow you to do so.
