THI – Public Realm

The Public Realm scheme is a £1.467m project and represents a significant investment in the physical appearance and appeal of the town centre as a shopping and tourism destination. The scheme will last approximately 12 months, commencing in May 2017. MacLay Civil Engineering Ltd have been appointed as the contractor to deliver the scheme of work. The improvements include the repair and restoration of historic pends and closes, resurfacing streets and footpaths to improve pedestrian conditions and lighting improvements to enhance town centre safety.
