Taking pride in our town

Taking pride in our town

This year’s town centre baskets are now in place to those businesses that requested them and have added an instant splash of colour across the town. Our Handyman, Dave has begun his Summer regime of watering and feeding the baskets but Summer is an exceptionally busy time for him as he removes weeds across the town centre paving and  cleans up “hot spots” of grime and bird fouling in advance of our annual Keep Scotland Beautiful audit so please, when you can, give your baskets some water and remember, it’s not only sun that dries them out but the wind also and standard rainfall makes little to no difference. These floral baskets will only continue to thrive if you help us by taking care of them too.

Since Falkirk Council are not doing their floral baskets which are normally on the lamp posts across the town, Falkirk Delivers have ordered a few extra and will place them on some of the lampposts.

You will appreciate this is an additional expense and not something which was planned but we think makes a difference across the town and enhances the area for all who live, work, shop and visit Falkirk town centre.
