Sportsters Falkirk Beat Off Stiff Competition to Win Big

On November 6 2015 Sportsters Falkirk won the award for Best Sports Bar at the Scottish Licensing Trade News (SLTN) Awards held at Glasgow’s Hilton Hotel. Comedian Jimmy Carr presented the sports bar with the award, beating off stiff competition from Glasgow’s The Crafty Pig and Rhoderick Dhu. Sportsters boasts a massive 60 screens and projectors; and has sport at it’s heart. Visitors can watch everything from football to Rugby Union clashes and fan favourites such as Wimbledon. Unlike many sports bar, Sportsters is about more than just football. The management of this award-winning bar go above and beyond to fulfil customer requests; they show what you want to watch. It is this personal touch that keeps customers coming back week in week out to watch their favourites.

The judges at the SLTN Awards also noted the fantastic food served in the bar, which is not just your average pub food. With everything from burgers and fajitas, to the exclusive Hot Rock Steaks, where the guest is invited to try something new and cook their own steak, to their own taste, on volcanic rock heated to 400oC.

The Sports Bar also boasts an extensive cocktail menu, not sticking to the clichéd drinks menus of some sports bars. Sportsters Falkirk caters for all sports fans, in a fantastic venue, with incredible food. All in all the perfect sports venue, and the judges clearly agree.

The Sports Bar, along with its sister nightclub City Falkirk, was also awarded with the Gold Best Bar None Award 2105 for the eighth consecutive year, reaching the national finals five years out of eight; an impressive feat for any bar.

Best Bar None, a national award scheme, is aimed at promoting responsible management and operation of alcohol licensed premises, recognising both responsible owners and the high standards of its nominees and winners.

Sportsters Falkirk is a premier sports bar featuring 60 screens and projectors showing a wide array of sport and hosting a popular weekly quiz night. City Nightclub boasts three rooms with a capacity of 1500, and an exclusive VIP area.
